The Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program is Spelman College’s nationally affiliated and recognized program for students who make a 3-4 year commitment to scholarly achievement and intellectual engagement culminating in a work of research-based scholarly production—the Senior Thesis. It is this culminating work, in addition to their completion of interdisciplinary coursework beyond their major studies, that distinguishes the Honors women featured here.
Follow the link to discover the research interests of this special cohort of Honors women. The Honors Program wishes, as well, to recognize and celebrate the collaborative engagement of faculty who serve as mentors and thesis advisors. And, of course, the Program could not do its work without the support of our faculty community and academic departments.
*Note: This feature does not include all of the women who will qualify for this distinction.
