Legislative and Political Affairs – Intern
Must be a rising junior or senior
3.0 or above GPA required
Must be available to work May 14th through August 3rd
Wage: $18.50 per hour
To learn how the work of Government Relations plays a vital role in advocating for the interests of electric cooperatives in Washington and in state capitals.
Purpose and Mission
Assist with the management of the Co-ops Vote 5-Star program
Develop and maintain database of state ballot initiatives
Assist with updating the Action.coop and Vote.coop websites
Support and assist the legislative team with their advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill
Research on key issues the Legislative team is advocating for on behalf of it’s co-ops
Requirements And Qualifications
Preferred Degree Program: Political Science or History
Solid understanding of how Congress works
Must be a rising junior or senior
3.0 or above GPA required
Must be available to work May 14th through August 3rd
Wage: $18.50 per hour
