It’s that time of year again to let the HBCU community know that the HBCU in LA Internship Program application will soon be open! I would greatly appreciate you all once again sharing the attached announcement via your Listserv network. The application officially opens September 14th and will close December 14, 2020 at 11:59pm PST.

It is now official the newly created HBCU / MSI Edition of the Imagine Cup (Americas Region) has been launched! Welcome to the largest Tech Pitch Competition in the world.
As our partners in the fight for our communities of color, we’re reaching out to let you know that the competition has officially launched, and ask that you pass it along to schools and other organizations that you may be working with. Here are the steps that student teams can take to register for the competition.

We’re excited about the opportunities before us, and look forward to continuing to work together to support our HBCUs and broader Minority Serving Institutions. Additionally, if your organization is interested in supporting this effort, there are several paths forward:
- We are looking for sponsors who can support the program broadly
- We are looking for partners who may have content – e.g., innovation ideas and case studies, development and education programs, etc. – that can be shared with the student teams during the competition
- We are looking for mentors who are interested in working with the student teams around individual projects or industries
- We are looking for media partners who can help amplify the amazing work that these students will be doing
