We are seeking motivated college students with excellent written and oral communication skills. Ideal candidates will be in their junior or senior year, majoring in Communications/Public Relations, Journalism, English, Psychology or Political Science. Pay: Virginia Minimum Wage
Responsibilities
A typical day as a Public Relations Intern might include:
Writing pitches, media alerts, press releases, etc.
Monitoring and tracking all press coverage
Working with the PR executive to support development of messaging and presentations
Managing media contact database
Assist in event coordination and logistics
Share big ideas in brainstorms with the PR team
Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively across multiple brands within the company
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Very detail-oriented
Ability to work with urgent deadlines and re-prioritize work when needed
Results driven, energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong urge to learn the ins and outs of PR across a diverse offering of brands
Not afraid to wear multiple hats – no job being too small or too large.
